This work is an act of recovery of ancestral, territorial, political and neighborhood memory. It was made in the park closest to my house, at a time when neighbors were fighting to prevent the construction of a track for runners that was not necessary. This would really be built for mere economic interests, to justify the use of public budgetary expenses, during an administrative government change. Due to the lost of the neighborhood fight; I took advantage of the excavations carried out, to connect with the memory of the Earth, with its various layers and rocks, pictorially explore its possibilities and visually reflect on the ways in which we are building ourselves as a civilization, moving further and further away from the natural landscape by placing plates of concrete. For that reason, my performative actions seek to reconnect with the Earth, nature and the ancestral ways of creating and painting. I collected the chromatic materials from the environment, grinding and sifting them until they became fine pigments agglutinated with linseed mucilages and gum arabic on a cotton paper, achieving a record of the chromatic range of the Earth from the place where I live and from a moment in which once again the Earth was buried with cement in pursuit of economic interests disguised as well-being and civilizational development. I documented with video the entire performative process of the way I paint; including in the register symbolic elements that allow us to reflect on the construction and deconstruction of our landscape.
